Overview
Yacht arrival formalities in Monaco vary by berth and by the nationalities of people aboard. The Yacht Club de Monaco's published maritime/port-police requirements cover the ports and territorial-water anchoring situations it specifies. They do not establish the complete rules for customs temporary admission, tax or visas nationwide. Confirm requirements with the port and relevant authorities before departure.

Ports of entry and exit
Yachts berthing at Yacht Club de Monaco, Port Hercule or Port de Fontvieille, or anchoring in territorial waters covered by its guidance, must submit information under the port-police requirements. The page is not a national list of designated yacht entry ports. Confirm berthing and inspection arrangements directly with the location concerned.

Pre-arrival reporting
Before arrival, confirm berth and port-police document submission method with the actual port/YCM. Prepare the maritime police form, crew and passenger lists, passports for everyone aboard, maritime health declaration, and declarations for cash or bearer instruments at the applicable threshold. A 48-hour form requirement for events or a specific berth must not be generalized as a nationwide statutory deadline.

Immigration
People aboard must hold travel documents accepted under Monaco/France border arrangements and check visa requirements according to nationality. Monaco's border and short-stay arrangements are linked with France; do not assume every nationality is visa-exempt. A port-police filing is not permission for a person to enter.

Vessel customs
YCM requires applicable vessels to submit police and people-aboard information, but public sources reviewed do not confirm the full process for customs temporary admission of foreign yachts, including duration, guarantee, declarations of goods aboard and outward clearance. Confirm in writing with Monaco Customs and the actual port before departure; a police form is not customs clearance.

Biosecurity
Public Monaco yacht-police guidance does not provide a complete biosecurity list for yachts. For pets, food, plants, animal products and waste, confirm applicable quarantine requirements based on origin with Monaco authorities and any relevant French/EU authority. Do not take items ashore without permission.

Restricted items
YCM's port-police form requires declarations of cash/bearer instruments at or above the applicable threshold and submission of crew information. Firearms/ammunition, controlled medicines and endangered-species products may also be restricted under French/Monégasque law. Before departure, confirm declaration, permit and onboard-storage requirements by item category with Customs. A port-police declaration is not an import permit.

Port procedures
Yachts berthing at YCM, Hercule or Fontvieille, or using applicable anchoring areas, should submit vessel information, crew/passenger lists, passports and a maritime health declaration to maritime/port police as specified on the YCM page. This describes procedures for specific port areas. Confirm procedures, office and hours with the receiving port elsewhere.

Fees and departure
Berth, service and agent charges from YCM or a marina are not government clearance fees. No uniform yacht arrival/departure clearance tariff for Monaco was confirmed in this review. Before departure, ask the actual port and responsible authorities whether declarations, overtime or other charges apply.
