Nauru's Immigration and Passport Division handles visas and passenger entry, departure and border control at the airport and seaport. The government visitor page directs visa applicants to submit an entry application to Immigration. Public information reviewed does not confirm the specific procedure for crew arriving by private yacht, visa rules by nationality, whether a visa can be obtained on arrival or conditions for crew to go ashore. Before departure, check visa requirements for each person's nationality with Immigration and obtain instructions on arrival by sea, shore leave and departure. Do not assume there is a uniform visa-free or visa-on-arrival rule.

Verification status: To be confirmed. General departmental responsibilities and visitor information were checked, but no specific sea-entry procedure for private-yacht crew was found.

Nauru Government Gazette No. 221/2024 revoked the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 2016, so the old regulations' lists should not be treated as current. This review did not find a complete current list confirmed to apply to private yachts. Before departure, check firearms/ammunition, controlled drugs, drones, fireworks, wildlife products and cash individually with Nauru Customs, including declaration, permits, sealing and re-export requirements.

Section 38 of Nauru's Customs Regulations 2023 charges USD 10 for each customs declaration submitted and processed; a further USD 10 is charged if declared goods are not collected within ten working days. This applies to goods declarations and is not a confirmed yacht-clearance fee. Sections 18–19 of the Ports and Navigation Act 2019 authorize the Port Authority to charge port fees, but public information reviewed did not confirm rates for visiting private yachts or a uniform departure charge. Before departure, confirm applicable fees, payment methods and formalities with the Nauru Maritime and Port Authority, Customs and Immigration.

Official sources: Customs Regulations 2023, Gazette No. 07/24; Ports and Navigation Act 2019; Navigation Regulations.

Verification status: To be confirmed. General customs charges and the Port Authority's authority to levy fees were checked; private-yacht port charges and total departure costs remain unverified.
