Yes, that makes sense. The current editor is quite basic. Let me think about the best way to improve or replace it Thanks for the suggestion — I’ll look into it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I agree, Scribe looks like a pretty good lightweight editor. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have an iOS version. I’d prefer to keep the editing experience consistent across both Android and iOS, so when I have some time, I’ll look into other suitable options that can work well on both platforms. Thanks again for sharing it.

I don't have iPhone, no help there, sorry If you can't find a cross platform alternative, I think there is no harm in having different editors as long as they work There is bound to be minor differences between the 2 platforms, but that's entirely up to you Cheers

Version 2.3.0 introduced quite a few bugs, so I’m planning to release 2.3.3 today. For this version, I’ll try not to add any more new features. The main focus will be fixing bugs and improving stability. Once this version is stable enough, I want to move it to the production track. After that, I can continue working on new features in the testing versions. Otherwise, if I keep adding features before promoting a stable build, the production track will remain stuck on an old version for too long. Also, the reason I’m skipping some version numbers is simply because those version numbers have already been used by the iOS builds, so I’m keeping the versioning aligned across platforms.

Thank you for the suggestion. In version 2.3.5, I made a few small improvements to the editing interface, but I still haven’t introduced a full text editor because I haven’t found one that I’m really happy with yet. There is also another limitation with the current feedback system. It is actually a general-purpose feedback system that I built separately from SeaChart. It does not really have the concept of user accounts — it only stores a display name. Because of that, the system cannot reliably identify the original author of a post, so users currently cannot edit or delete their posts after submitting them. When I have more time, I plan to replace or redesign the whole feedback system. I’m considering making it more like catch feed format, which would make user interaction, editing, and post management much easier. For now, I’ll keep the current system as it is and focus on the more important SeaChart features first.

Thanks I still think that Scrib is a good fit on android I did a quick search for ios alternative, there are some alternatives but I have no way to test, and I also don't think that the 2 platforms should be identical, what matters is they work well cheers

It looks like you really like this editor Let me take a closer look at how it works and see if I can build something similar myself, rather than integrating a completely separate editor. If I can reproduce the most useful parts of Scrib while keeping it lightweight, that might actually be a better fit for SeaChart. Cheers!

Received and tested building it yourself makes it easier to integrate on both platforms one thing, it doesn't accept smilies or emogies I think this is a limitation from your side Thanks again Cheers
