Sorry, but I have to mark this issue as blocked for now because I currently don't have access to a real AIS device to properly test and debug the AIS-related issues.

If you have a real AIS device and are willing to help with testing, please leave a comment here. We can start testing in September, and I can provide you with a special test build that collects the AIS information received on your vessel. This will help me investigate issues with AIS targets, target details, and other AIS-related features.

Please note that, as part of the testing, the collected AIS data may include your vessel's position as well as the positions and AIS information of nearby vessels. This means you would need to be comfortable sharing this information with me for debugging purposes.

If you're happy to participate, please leave a message here and we can arrange the testing when the test build is ready.

Good news — after about two months of travelling across the ocean, my AIS device has finally arrived! Unfortunately, the mushroom-style antenna seems to have an issue, and I’m currently working with the seller to sort it out. The good news is that the AIS functionality is already basically working. I’ll be doing a series of updates and improvements to the AIS features in the near future, including AIS target display and target information. Thank you for your patience!

Some AIS-related fixes and improvements have already been included in version 2.4.5.
